Brighton Music Conference

Brighton Music Conference is one of the UK’s biggest music conferences that helps young upcoming engineers, producers, artists and all sort of people from around the world to meet up with big companies and give them an insight to the music industry. The Brighton Music Conference made its first debut in the UK in 2014 and since then it has been growing gradualy and has introduced international music trends, equipment and traditions to the UK. The conference is a gathering of music professionals, DJ’s, music managers, music business consultants, PR companies, music A&R etc. The conference is located in Brighton dome, in this conference one of the most educating aspect was the music business part because to hear from professionals how competitive and tough the music game is and sometimes how dangerous it can be. from what i hear from my class mates that have personally attended the conference is that it has got a wide range of choices and opportunities for any one that is interested in any aspects of the music and music industry.

In this conference there are big companies involved, companies like NI ( Native Instruments ) which i personally have a great appreciation for their work in the products like Machine and also some softwares like massive, Kontact 5 and 6 etc, I personally didn’t attended the conference but acording to my classmates the main focus of the whole conference was mainly based on music business though there was many other aspects within the confrernce including demonstration by known DJ’s, producers, sound engeneers and so on. The collection and purpose of all the tallented people, companies, equipment and technology is to bring a vibrancy of international and personal tradition to the UK and to music hungry people and familiaris them with different techs different ways of creating music and most of all the marketing side of the music business.

I believe this conference is a very essential part of music in genral because it is a way of introduction and recruitment. For the people that i have no information about what happens in the music industry it will show them the diffrent aspects and people can choose what side of the business they wat to go, if it is the prudiction side where alot

Of technology is included and demands a high knowledge and understanding of new and latest equipment ( software or hardware ), or if it is the business side where there is managing and promoting artist, marketing a project (EP,album, signals etc ), PR and so on. Music conferences also help build consumers for the music industry because confrences like the Brighton Music Confrences introduced new set if people to the music industry and this can be used to advertise and showcase the equipment, talent and business of the music industry.

In genral the Brighton Music Confrences is an essential part of the ongoing fight to recruit and introduce new people to the music industry and i belive it plays a big part by seting up an environment where people can grasp a wide range of information in short time and sapce and by seting up a place where the two side if the music industry which are the business side and the technical side can be distributed to people. The Brighton music Confrence is set up in Brighton which is part of the southern England and is most famous for its beach and i belive this is a perfect place to set up a music confrence because people can come and take as much information from the Confrence and still get to enjoy the fun and beautiful beach.

One of the highlights of the while music Confrences was said to be the Female DJ preforming and speaking to a group of people and talking about marketing and management side if the music business and as i have heard from my class mates this will help motivate alot of people from the opposite gender to get in the music business. When it comes to technical part of the business it is mainly occupied by male and music Confrences will help the opposite genders get involved with the industry and help build it to become great again
